Their classmates got to share in their heroism when three brothers were honored Friday for escaping from a house fire on Tuesday. It was during an assembly on Friday morning at Jennie Rogers Elementary School that Danville Fire Marshal Ken Pflug gave nine year old Jeremy Quinn, Ethan Quinn and Zachary Phillips, who goes to Bate Middle School certificates. Jeremy is credited with waking his grandmother and getting her out of the house before throwing a cinder block through a window to help get his brothers out. Fire officials said grandmother Patty May went back into the house to get her purse and fire fighters found her in a doorway. She's still at University of Kentucky Hospital. Jeremy drew high praise for his act of heroism, alerting everyone to the fire.
