Be Safe During Winter Storms

Now that round one of winter weather has passed, and things will hopefully be back to normal soon, there are some things you can do to keep power running to your home, even if the power goes out. Inter-County Energy says if you're using a portable generator, make sure its connected properly. They suggest calling a qualified electrician to connect it. Use the right cords to plug appliances into the generator. Don't plug the generator into a wall socket and never use the generator indoors.
