Copper Stolen From Old School Building

They were just about to turn the old school into a community center when it was burglarized this week. Pulaski County Sheriff Todd Wood said the thieves were after the copper wiring in the school. He said sometime on Monday, they made their way into the building and cut the copper wiring. Now sheriff's investigators are checking with scrap metal companies to see who might have tried to sell the wiring. County commissioners said that their first priority in making the old school a community center was a fence to keep it safe.
