The number of people coming down with whooping cough is going up and health officials are urging Kentuckians to get vaccinated. They said that in 2007, the number of whooping cough cases in the state was 47. This year there are already more than 250. The Kentucky Department of Public Health says children under one year old are most at risk for significant complications from the illness.
