The cit of Stanford will grow by nearly 300 acres if the city council votes to annex property near Stanford Elementary School this week. That would be their second reading of the ordinance. Council voted unanimously for the issue on first reading last week. The annexation finally got a vote of residents last month, and it was 57 for and 31 against the city annexing the property. It means the city will see an additional 200 thousand dollars a pear in new money in taxes and fees from the new property. It also means residents will see city services to their homes.
