Lincoln County Implements Plan B

Lincoln County students have missed 10 days of school this year because of the weather. Transportation Director Ronnie Deatherage a plan to get students to school.

He said, "What we're looking at is each individual bus driver coming up with a plan to identify roads that they know after two or three days of being out are still snow covered. Then we will send home notices to the students that live on those roads that under a Plan B, those roads would not be run. There would be an alternate site identified, and an alternate time where those students and parents can bring their children to that alternate site for the bus to pick them up."

Superintendent Karen Hatter said that the plan will take some explaining when it is implemented so listening to WPBK-FM will be crucial.

She said, "Actually, we count on this radio station to get the word out for us because it will take some explanation that they won't be able to post on the television."

Weather permitting, students return to classes tomorrow.
