Hundreds gathered on Sunday to dedicate the new Mercer County Public Library, and to see that new sculpture. The 15 foot tall iron screen was unveiled during the dedication. Tony Higdon and Erika Strecker of Lexington are the artists behind the sculpture that's part of the nearly four million dollar library. Farmers in Mercer County donated parts of farm implements that are now part of the sculpture. The library has actually been open since January 17, but was dedicated on Sunday.
