People in Perryville say the Chaplin River is just part of life, and it really became part of their lives yesterday, as it began rising around 9 a.m. Residents who live on the river said it came up quick, and went back into its banks just as quickly. While lots of people came to look at all the water, neighbors said they came to help clear debris so it wouldn't be dragged by the rushing water. Noboby's reporting much damage from the rising Chaplin River.
