Steve Beshear, David Williams and Gatewood Galbraith will stand together on the same stage tonight in a rare gubernatorial debate. Rare because as yet, Beshear has refused to face off in a debate. The contest will start at 8 p.m. tonight, be a 90 minute affair, and will air on Kentucky Educational Television. With Election Day just over a week away, Kentucky voters will get to see all three putting forth their cases for being the Commonwealth's top executive. Political observers say the debate will only give voters a chance to see their candidates, but probably won't change anybody's mind. Beshear leads the way, some 30 points ahead of Williams and 50 points in the polls ahead of Galbraith.
