We've all heard about the US Postal Service's bad economy, but now some US Senators have come up with a bipartisan plan to keep it afloat...and delivering mail six days a week for a couple of years anyway. Under the proposed plan, USPS would get back about seven million dollars its overpaid to its employees retirement fund, and then have to use part of that refund to buy out employees, cutting about 100 thousand from its payroll. There's lots more, and its complicated, but senators say they have to take drastic measures to keep the mail moving.
