New Mayor Hold First Meeting Tonight

Danville Mayor Bernie Hunstad meets with the city commission tonight and its apparently going to be a long meeting, with 18 items on the agenda, and that's before the executive session on personnel. The public meeting agenda has an open and a close and in between, takes up such things as setting regular meeting dates, City of Danville Open Door Policy, bi-annual review of the budget and more. The meeting starts at 5:30 p.m. in Danville City Hall in the public meeting room.

Danville Goes Wet in 2010

Its 2011 and what's new? How about selling alcohol in Danville. That's what voters decided last March. The vote was 2508 to 1811 for going wet in a city that had been dry. Dry to the point of not a drop sold, and now, alcohol is being sold here just like a lot of other places.
