Another Kentucky lawmaker is calling it quits. Republican representative Lonnie Napier has been in the state legislature for 28 years and said yesterday that he's retiring. He said he's been wrestling with what to do since redistricting, and as of 3 p.m. yesterday, came to a decision. Napier's current district currently includes Garrard and part of Madison County, but redistricting would put Napier in only part of Madison and gain Lincoln County. But Napier said he's stepping aside so his friend, Garrard County Economic Development Director Nathan Mick can run for his seat in the Kentucky House. But Napier's not ruling out a run later.
