KSP Removes 100 Animals From Garrard Co Home

No charges are expected against a Garrard County couple who kept about 70 birds and about 32 dogs on their property. Kentucky State Police were notified when a man showed up at their office and told them he'd just bought a dog from John Chasteen on White Lick Road in Paint Lick. The man told police that things didn't look right, so they investigated. They called Animal Control, and their volunteers worked to remove the animals from the home. Garrard County Animal Control Officer Earlene Harris said the animals were in good shape and that the dogs have all been adopted.
