New Legislative Districts "Unconstitutional

The Kentucky Supreme Court ruled unanimously on Friday that newly drawn legislative district lines are unconstitutional, and it means that legislators who thought they'd be running in new districts, representing new constituents, will not. They'll be representing their old districts, drawn from census figures ten years ago. Chief Justice John D. Minton who wrote for the full court, said newly drawn legislative districts are quote -- "facially unconstitutional". His writing came after the court heard arguments on Friday, ending the court battle over the maps.
