A deputy jailer for Lincoln County - was arrested himself. 21-year-old Justin Pearson -- who had only worked at the jail for a few months -- was arrested Saturday on suspicion of sneaking contraband into the jail. Pearson was being held in the Fayette County Detention Center in Lexington on a $2,500 cash bond. Lincoln county jailer David Gooch says it's not common that staff has to be arrested for breaking the law, especially within the jail, according to the advocate-messenger. The internal affairs investigation that implicated Pearson is not over, and more arrests are possible.
